Sprint Vector Launches on HTC Vive and Oculus!

Hey everyone! James (aka “jimbo2go”) here. Today, Survios is so proud to launch our newest game built exclusively for VR, and I am so excited to be saying these words (in my best Mr. Entertainment voice, of course): welcome to Sprint Vector Championship Intergalactica!

Sprint Vector is officially available on HTC Vive, Oculus Rift+Touch, and PlayStation VR at a special launch discount of 20% off its normal $29.99 price (PSVR gets this discount ony in North America, but PS Plus users worldwide get 30% off).

Our arcade partners are also in on the action today as Sprint Vector Arcade gets a full release update with all the same courses and content as its retail counterpart, along with arcade-optimized admin features.

Before I say any more, I’ll let our brand new launch trailer do the talking:

Sprint Vector has truly been a passion project for our development team. We challenged ourselves to tackle the omnipresent issues of VR locomotion—and then took it a step further by deciding to make it as fast and frenetic as possible. When we came up with Fluid Locomotion, we knew we had hit upon something really special with a huge amount of potential. That was only reinforced when we unveiled Sprint Vector at GDC 2017 and watched player after player go nuts rocketing through an early prototype of the Pharaoh’s Scrapyard (Arid) course.

A year later, Sprint Vector is landing with 21 colorful maps filled with twists, shortcuts, and power ups, multiplayer online racing with 8 playable characters (and skins!), as well as global leaderboards galore for all you adrenaline junkies 🙂  It’s bigger and better than we ever could have hoped, and the crazy enthusiasm our players have shared through the whole development process has pushed us across the finish line.

Sprint Vector is truly fun because you can play it your way. Speedrunners and overachievers will gravitate toward the Global Leaderboards on competitive mode, where eight-player races across 12 unique courses fuel the need for speed. There’s also private matchmaking and casual modes for a little friendly competition, and you can even fine-tune your skills and test yourself on 9 solo challenge courses, each with three different game modes. However you want to sprint, there’s a vector for that!

To commemorate the launch, all the Sprint Vector racers each arrive with free Championship Intergalactica Winter Games skins so you can show off some international flair. And Thursday, February 15, we’ll be launching weekly challenges to keep your sprinting form in top shape—as well as give you a shot at winning big in our upcoming Community Cups and earn a spot in Mr. E’s Master League!

But enough talking from me. It’s time to get to the action! So strap on your vectorblades and we’ll see you in the Skatepark! For the best tips and tricks straight from the source, be sure to watch our Play with the Devs launch day livestream to see how the devs tackle the toughest competitive courses.

Have fun, and remember: you’re all stars in the eyes of Mr. Entertainment! Or his face… or his screen. Whatever he is. He loves you all equally, we promise! (As long as you get him ratings.)

Signing off,

James & the Sprint Vector team
