Raw Data Officially Launches for HTC Vive & Oculus
Hey everyone!
James here. 🙂 I’m so excited to be here with you all on this awesome day for Raw Data fans, all of us here at Survios, and VR enthusiasts alike. I’m beyond stoked to say that Raw Data is officially out of Early Access and a final published game! (And it’s even 25% off until October 17 for all of you new players.)
I’d like to personally welcome all the new Raw Data players descending into Eden for the first time. Whether you’re preparing to take down the megacorp threat in the co-op narrative campaign or shoring up for a Hostile Takeover PvP showdown, you will find a truly amazing group of players. They’ve been invaluable to us throughout the Early Access development process, and we’re thrilled to welcome you into their ranks. Be sure to join us here on Steam and on Discord to find co-op partners, share awesome PvP plays, and get tips and tricks.
What a crazy ride it’s been since we first revealed Raw Data—in its rough alpha state—back in January 2016 at VRLA. Six months later, Raw Data debuted in Early Access on Steam, and while we’d say the rest is history, we can’t just brush off those 16 months as insignificant. Throughout, our awesome player community grew and connected with each other and with us, providing the feedback and insights our development team needed to build the polished, immersive, active experience for which VR enthusiasts have been craving. The dev team has worked tirelessly pushing out regular content updates that refined mechanics and abilities, introduced new playable SyndiK8 heroes, added cross-platform co-op, expanded gameplay with PvP, and deepened the immersion with new campaign missions as well as layers of narrative content.
Now it’s time for players old and new to experience the definitive Raw Data experience. The final game features even more story elements throughout all the missions. I highly encourage even the most seasoned of Raw Data players to head back to “Hard Point” and start the journey afresh — and keep an eye out for those glowing tablets placed throughout the levels! Just when you think you’ve played the most intense mission in “Soul Decrypt,” you’ll get pulled into the tenth and final mission, “Fatal Error,” which will have you questioning the very nature of reality itself.
