Hachi machi, aren\u2019t you the absolute <i>mos<\/i><em>t!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In March\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/survios.com\/studio\/sprint-vector-space-race-update-now-live\/\">Space Race Update<\/a>, Mr. Entertainment surprised his contestants with an all-new course amid the glitz and glam (and gravity wells) of Outer Vegas, a luxury resort strategically positioned between two black holes where time stands still. But there\u2019s no way you assumed he\u2019d see those looming voids as just window dressing, right?<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re about to find out, as the next stage of <i>Sprint Vector <\/i>heads into the heart of the neighboring Moebius 3-15 black hole itself! Yes, there\u2019s a top secret research center nearby that\u2019s probing into the singularity\u2019s depths and has ruled it a no-fly zone..but who cares?! Who knows what weirdness awaits you on the other side? Think of the ratings! This is a map that&#8217;s truly worthy of its name: <strong>Cosmic Odyssey!<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"SPRINT VECTOR | Big Bang Update Now Live!\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TGGkAX5Zf4U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>But that\u2019s not all: two more contestants have thrown their cranial adornments into the <i>Sprint Vector <\/i>race in pursuit of their hearts\u2019 desires, and their goals are lofty, to say the least:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>* Joining Luna in the \u201cspace stuff gone sentient\u201d category, <b>Rockslide<\/b> is a comet who\u2019s been exploring the vastness of space for millennia. Luckily, Mr. Entertainment has struck him a deal: if he wins, he gets a shiny new bipedal body (which he\u2019s testing out here on the <i>Sprint Vector <\/i>tracks). But if he loses, Mr. E gains all the secrets of the known universe. You decide which option is better.<\/li>\n<li>* As regal and stately as she is mysterious, <b>Necho<\/b> contains multitudes within her half-machine body. Her name is that of a planet long consumed by its neighboring sun, whose doomed denizens fused their consciousnesses into their undying queen. With <i>Sprint Vector <\/i>increasingly gaining popularity as a VR speedrunner, we\u2019re adding Pure Leaderboards for all maps, so players conducting solo runs without items and AI can compete against each other solely based on skill. To go along with the implementation of Pure Leaderboards, we\u2019re conducting a complete wipe of <i>all <\/i>leaderboards. Now that the playing field is once again level, go forth and conquer!<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Sprint Vector<\/em> Big Bang Update is available now on <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/SprintVectorOnSteam\">Steam<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/SprintVectorOnOculus\">Oculus Home<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/SprintVectorPSVR\">PlayStation Network<\/a>, made possible by Intel; thanks to them, all existing <i>Sprint Vector <\/i>players receive this update completely free of charge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patch Notes for Update 1.3 (Released May 30, 2018)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>New Map: Cosmic Odyssey<\/strong> \u2013 Players can now access the new map \u201cCosmic Odyssey\u201d on both single player and multiplayer races.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Additional Playable Characters<\/strong> \u2013 Players can now choose two additional playable characters, \u201cNecho\u201d and \u201cRockslide.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><b>Leaderboard Update<\/b> \u2013 In-game leaderboards have been reconfigured into three new race-only leaderboards: Single-Player, Multiplayer, and Pure. The Pure leaderboard ranks players&#8217; on both single- and multiplayer races when racing in Competitive Mode with AI Racers and Power-Ups turned off.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Animated Introduction<\/strong> \u2013 This patch adds the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JDm00CSHaKo\">animated <em>Sprint Vector<\/em> trailer<\/a> to the game&#8217;s launch sequence.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Improved Stability<\/strong> \u2013 This patch includes several improvements to server and client stability and optimizations for performance to improve player experience.<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI Pathing and Behavior<\/strong> \u2013 This patch includes several improvements to AI performance and behavior throughout the game.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Improved Collision<\/strong> \u2013 This patch includes several improvements to collision volumes and path smoothing throughout the game.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Improved Gripstream Performance<\/strong> \u2013 Players are now less likely to experience inconsistent positional data or 180-degree flipping when using gripstreams in multiplayer matches.<\/li>\n<li><strong>General Graphical Performance Improvements <\/strong>\u2013 This patch contains several assorted adjustments to streaming volumes and distances to improve graphical performance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oculus Slingshot Glitch<\/strong> \u2013 This patch fixes the &#8220;slingshot&#8221; movement exploit caused by the Oculus menu button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oh, you thought that Sprint Vector couldn\u2019t possibly get crazier?
