For today’s VIP Spotlight, we reached out to ProPlanty<\/b> for his thoughts on VR gaming.<\/p>\n

What convinced you to become a VR early adopter?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Well, I have always loved the concept and idea behind Virtual Reality. So much to the point that I went out of my way to buy a Nintendo Virtual Boy (and I actually think that device is pretty cool!). Ever since the HTC Vive was announced it looked like an incredibly slim chance for me to experience VR as soon as possible. I started to sell a lot of my belongings and I saved up quite a bit to fork out for a new PC and HTC VIVE! I was absolutely blown away by it. At first I was only going to get the Playstation VR, BUT I literally couldn’t wait!<\/p>\n

What has been your favorite Raw Data moment so far?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Honestly, getting the duel wielding upgrade as well as quick reload abilities made the game so much more epic and intense! Especially for those harder levels. I was actually blown away by one of the more recent levels that have been made available. The one with all the lasers that blast through the room! It was CRAZY!<\/p>\n

What other VR games have impressed you?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Brookhaven Experiment<\/em>, Space Pirate Trainer<\/em>, Sword Master VR<\/em> and Job Simulator<\/em> have impressed me a lot: scaring me, keeping me on my toes and absolutely wearing me out! I have recently been playing some PSVR games and am enjoying those a lot also even though they are a seated experience! Until Dawn: Rush of Blood<\/em> was horrifying! The London Heist<\/em> (Playstation VR Worlds) was epic!<\/p>\n

Which of your all-time favorite games would you most like to see remade in VR?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I would love to see myself in the Ratchet & Clank<\/em> universe. First person…imagine all the sweet gadgets and weapons in the palm of your hand, LITERALLY! I also customized my HTC VIVE Home to Super Mario 64<\/em> – Princess Peach’s Castle. So I would love to see myself in the Mario universe!<\/p>\n

What brand new concept would you love to see in VR that hasn’t happened yet?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

That’s a tough one, with the current technology I feel like we are limited to what we can do (Hence why there seems to be so many wave shooters) BUT I love what has been done with Raw Data, take that concept and gameplay, get rid of the guns and make some sort of adventure! Take interaction to a whole new level with new peripherals! I want a treadmill to run on while in the VR world! Another cool thing I would like to see is classic 2D games in the Virtual World. See what it feels like to be Mario like the good old days! (Sonic would be cool, but I fear that I would get really sick, haha.)<\/p>\n
